4:15 p.m., March 3, 2008--UD's women's club golf team will be holding its third annual Spring Swing Scramble golf tournament at 1 p.m., Sunday, April 13, at the Deerfield Golf and Tennis Club in Newark, Del. Proceeds from the tournament will help support the club team in its effort to become a varsity sport at UD.

The Spring Swing will be formatted as a four-person scramble, where each golfer will play from the team's “best” ball on every shot. Prizes will be given based on the playing field size and to winners of various contests, including “closest to the pin” and “longest drive.” A raffle also will be held at the banquet following the tournament.

Registration will end Saturday, March 29, and all golfers within the student and public community are invited to play. Registration is $90 per player for the tournament and banquet and $30 per person for the dinner only.
