A record 1,682 students entered the room though a star-studded, art-deco archway topped by the word “Hollywood” in foot-high gold letters flanked by two larger than life-sized Oscars.
“The Housing Fair was a huge success. Everyone enjoyed the festive Hollywood theme, decorations, food, entertainment and prizes. We increased last year's attendance by more than 400 students,” said Linda Carey, director of Housing Assignment Services.
The fair helps familiarize students with online housing sign-up and promotes special housing options, such as Christiana Towers, upper class Honors, special interest housing, the global living community and traditional style housing.
Star and slate board balloons filled the room as students walked the “red carpet” to accept their prizes.
