8:57 a.m., March 26, 2008--Starting at 7 p.m., Sunday, March 30, and 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, instruction in dance moves such as the fox trot, swing, waltz, salsa and more will be offered to University community members in six-week classes taught by members of UD's DanSport Team.
The classes, which are only offered on Sunday and Tuesday evenings, cater to different skill and interest levels and are designed to teach or perfect basic dance steps. Private lessons also are available upon request.
All classes are 50 minutes long and are held in the Pearson Hall Gym. The 7 p.m. Sunday evening courses are geared for beginners, teaching the basics in waltz, rumba or salsa, with a beginning course in the fox trot and swing beginning at 8 p.m.
The 7 p.m. Tuesday evening courses are geared for beginners in the fox trot and cha-cha, with an intermediate course in salsa also available at 7 p.m., and a beginner course in salsa beginning at 8 p.m.
