UD’s Adrien named to All-Mid-Atlantic team

2:10 p.m., June 11, 2008--Sophomore Regine Adrien, who anchored the University of Delaware women's rowing varsity eights crew this spring, has been selected to the College Rowing Coaches Association All-Mid-Atlantic Region second team.

A biology major from Merrick, N.Y., Adrien was one of 20 student-athletes honored on the regional team.

Adrien competed in all seven meets this past season and helped the varsity eights finish third in the Colonial Athletic Association championships, fifth in the petite finals at the ECAC Metro championships and fifth in the repechage finals at the Dad Vail Regatta.

As a freshman in 2007, she led the Fightin' Blue Hens novice eights to the CAA title and a third place finish at the ECAC Metro championships. She also earned the team's Sportsmanship Award.
