Microsoft Office license agreement extended

9:12 a.m., June 18, 2008--The University of Delaware's Microsoft Campus Agreement permits a copy of Microsoft Office to be downloaded to all University-owned computers.

That license has now been extended to non-University-owned computers that are used for University-related work.

The exact terms of the work at home provisions of the Campus Agreement are available for review at [https://udeploy.udel.edu/Mac/MS/terms.html] and [https://udeploy.udel.edu/Win/MS/terms.html].

The Microsoft Campus Agreement includes these applications:

• Microsoft Office Enterprise 2003 (Windows);
• Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 (Windows);
• Microsoft Office 2004 Mac (Macintosh); and
• Microsoft Office 2008 Mac (Macintosh).

Access to this license is restricted to University of Delaware “knowledge-workers” -- Microsoft's terminology for faculty and staff who use a computer in their University-related work.

The software is available for download from the University's UDeploy Web site [http://udeploy.udel.edu]. Faculty and staff will need to provide their UDelNet IDs and passwords to download the software.

The license restricts installation of the software to computers owned by the University and personally-owned computers used for University-related work. Under this agreement, students may not download and install the software.
