9:20 a.m., June 12, 2008--The UD Research Office will offer a training session on the legal and financial framework that guides the University's polices and procedures for managing the funding received from sponsors of research from 8 a.m.-noon, Wednesday, July 9, in C125 Clayton Hall.
The following federal regulations and how they affect the budgets and financial management of your research projects will be discussed:
- OMB Circular A-21 Cost Principles for Educational Institutions;
- OMB Circular A-110 Uniform Administrative Requirements for Grants and Agreements with Institutions of Higher Education, Hospitals, and Other Non-Profit Organizations; and
- OMB Circular A-133 Audits of States, Local Governments, and Non-Profit Organizations.
What do faculty, graduate students, college and department staff, and the University's central administration and academic offices such as the Office of Graduate Studies, the Office of the Vice President for Finance, Research Office and the Procurement Office have to do in order to comply with the federal requirements? What can happen if they don't comply?
