Hal White, professor of chemistry and biochemistry, was quoted in a July 8 New York Times story about a gathering of dragonfly enthusiasts in New Jersey.

John Gallagher, professor of marine studies, was featured in a July 6 Associated Press story about seashore mallow and the plant's possible use as a biofuel.

Charles Elson, Edgar S. Woolard Jr. Chair and director of the John L. Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance, was quoted in a July 3 Wall Street Journal story about Oracle's Larry Ellison and his stake in NetSuite. Elson also was quoted in a July 1 Chicago Tribune column about changes in corporate governance in the aftermath of Enron.

Dewey Caron, professor of entomology and wildlife ecology, was quoted in a July 3 News Journal story about declining populations in honeybee colonies.

Jeff Bonwick, a 1987 mathematics graduate of UD, was featured in a July 3 News Journal story upon being named a Sun Fellow by Sun Microsystems.

Jack Townsend, director of UD's Bank of America Career Services Center, was quoted in a July 2 News Journal story about changes in the job search process.

Jonathan Russ, assistant professor of history, was quoted in a July 1 Philadelphia Inquirer story about start-up companies that have roots in DuPont. "It is their variety that has spawned this variety," Russ said. "There have been firms historically where people have left to do their own projects--IBM, Xerox, Kodak. However, none of those firms generated the sheer variety of spin-offs that DuPont did."

Timothy Murray, head of Special Collections, was quoted in a July 1 News Journal story about author Stanley Weintraub, who is an adjunct professor in the Department of English.

Gordon Johnson, of the UD Cooperative Extension Service, was quoted in a June 30 News Journal story about an increase in corn acreage with the advance of ethanol as a fuel.
