UD in top 20 among Kiplinger’s ’best values’

3:19 p.m., Jan. 9, 2008--The University of Delaware has been ranked in the top 20 nationally in the Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine list of the 100 best values among high quality public institutions of higher education. The list ranks four-year public colleges and universities that combine outstanding economic value with a first-class education, with the 100 best values selected from a pool of more than 500 institutions.

For out-of-state students, UD ranks No. 8, just behind the University of Virginia and just ahead of Texas A&M University.

For in-state students, UD ranks No. 20, just behind the University of Wisconsin Madison and just ahead of the University of California Irvine.

The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill topped the Kiplinger's 100 list as a best value for in-state students and the State University of New York Geneseo topped the list for out-of-state students..
