Janet Hethorn, professor of fashion and apparel studies, was quoted in the Jan. 25 Lorain (Ohio) Chronicle-Telegram in a story about a school uniform policy.

Eleanor Craig, associate professor and chairperson of the Department of Economics, was quoted in a Jan. 23 News Journal story about action by the Federal Reserve to boost the economy through an interest rate cut. Also Craig was a featured expert in a Jan. 20 News Journal question and answer story about foreign investors helping U.S. banks, wrote an opinion piece in the Jan. 19 News Journal on the need to reconsider disincentives to attract business and was quoted in a Jan. 18 News Journal story on a proposed economic stimulus package.

Joseph Pika, professor of political science and international relations, was quoted in a Jan. 23 News Journal story on the race between Democratic gubernatorial candidates John Carney and Jack Markell.

Charles Lewis, UD graduate and founder of the Center for Public Integrity in Washington, D.C., was quoted in the Jan. 23 New York Times following the release by the center of a database on statements by administration officials in the run-up to the Iraq war.

Kimmie Meissner, UD freshman and figure skating champion, was featured in the Jan. 23 Baltimore Sun as she prepared for the 2008 national championships being held in St. Paul, Minn.

Laurence Seidman, Chaplin Tyler Professor of Economics, was featured in a segment on the economy Jan. 22 on WHYY-TV's Delaware Tonight program.

John Antil, associate professor of business administration, was quoted in a Jan. 21 St. Louis Post-Dispatch story about Super Bowl advertising.

Bill Sullivan, managing director of the Courtyard Newark-University of Delaware hotel on campus, was quoted in the January issue of Club & Resort Business magazine in a story about computer security at hospitality venues. Sullivan also was quoted in a Jan. 21 News Journal story about a state hotel tax proposal.

Tammy Anderson, associate professor of sociology, was quoted in a Jan. 20 News Journal story about a single-digit Delaware license plate.

Charles Elson, Edgar S. Woolard Jr. Chair and director of the John L. Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance, was quoted in a Jan. 20 Dow Jones Newswires story about a Securities and Exchange Commission investigation into backdating.
