Jean Pfaelzer, professor of English and author of the book Driven Out: The Forgotten War Against Chinese Americans, was featured in stories Jan. 18 in the Fremont (Calif.) Argus, Jan. 15 in the Stockton (Calif.) Record and Jan. 14 in the San Francisco Chronicle.
James R. Soles, Alumni Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Political Science and International Relations, was quoted in a Jan. 18 News Journal story about Delaware's Republican Party and the gubernatorial race.
Nancy Brickhouse, director of the School of Education, wrote a Delaware Voice opinion piece on American education in the Jan. 16 News Journal.
Leslie F. Goldstein, Judge Hugh M. Morris Professor of Political Science and International Relations, appeared on the WHYY-TV's Delaware Tonight news broadcast Jan. 15. She was interviewed for her thoughts on the new Wilmington police policy of posting on the Internet the names and photos of arrested customers of prostitutes and of the arrested prostitutes. Two of her research interests are constitutional law and gender and law.

Lynn Snyder-Mackler, Alumni Distinguished Professor of Physical Therapy, was quoted in a Jan. 12 Vancouver (British Columbia) Sun brief about women who delay knee surgery. A story on the research also was run on WTAE-TV of Pittsburgh and on several health and medical Web sites, including Musculoskeletal Report.
Kimmie Meissner, UD freshman and defending national figure skating champion who will defend her title next week in competition in St. Paul, Minn., was featured Jan. 12 on Baltimore's WJZ-TV, which did a live remote feed from the Fred Rust Ice Arena during a special national send-off exhibition that evening.
