Admissions staff assistant honored as HR Liaison
Teresa Clark
11:35 a.m., Jan. 25, 2008--Teresa Clark, a staff assistant in UD's Office of Admissions, was met with a bouquet of roses and kudos from colleagues when she arrived at work the morning of Jan. 7 to the news that she'd been selected as the HR Liaison for the fourth quarter of 2007.

“It was a complete surprise,” Clark said. “It felt wonderful to be recognized, and I feel that the reason I was recognized was because I have very appreciative co-workers and students who I get to do payroll for and who support me in my job.”

Clark, who will mark seven years with UD in March, said her primary job responsibilities include assisting senior staff in the Office of Admissions with special projects that range from job searches and DelaWorld and Discovery Days to updating lists.

After starting out as a receptionist in a different part of Hullihen Hall, Clark said that she began doing invoices and billing, and then legal support duties before moving to her current role in July 2006.

“One of my duties is to sit in the front office,” Clark said, “so I think that having a positive personality is an important job requirement. I also think that having patience and a willingness to learn are assets to my work.”
