Kathleen "Kate" Foster
 

Dec. 10, 2007--Kathleen K. "Kate" Foster, 68, of Newark, Del., died June 22, 2007, at Heartland Hospice House.

Mrs. Foster was born in Woodbury, N.J. A 1956 graduate of Conrad High School, she also attended the University of Delaware.

She was employed with the DuPont Co. for 11 years in the former Engineering Development Laboratory in Wilmington. She later accepted a position as a secretary in the Department of Business and Economics Department of the University of Delaware, where she worked for 17 years.

Mrs. Foster was an active parishioner at St. John's-Holy Angels Church in Newark, serving as both a eucharistic minister and a member of the choir.

She was an avid golfer throughout her life and a longtime member of the DuPont Country Club. An excellent cook, Mrs. Foster also enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Allen R. Foster; a son, Sean M. Foster, and his wife, Christine, of Hockessin, Del.; two brothers, Robin Kinnel of Utica, N.Y.; and Michael Kinnel of Hartly, Del.; and granddaughter, Jillian Marie Foster.
