6 a.m., April 8, 2008--The Strategic Planning Committee's report to UD President Patrick Harker has been posted online at the committee's web site [www.udel.edu/strategicplanning]. (For a PDF of the report, click here.)

Appointed by Harker last year, the committee met with more than 100 different constituent groups and read some 600 e-mails to gather recommendations on the University's current capabilities and to define priorities for the future. On April 7, Debra Hess Norris and Mark Barteau, committee co-chairs, presented the report at the University's General Faculty Meeting.

In the coming month, members of the administration will review the report, and conversations will be held with the members of the University's Board of Trustees to get their feedback and to formulate a plan.

At a special University of Delaware Forum on Saturday, May 10, Harker will deliver a state of the University speech, which will include the response to the committee's report. For more information on the Forum, visit [www.udel.edu/forum].
