UD Children’s Choir to perform 3 more spring concerts

8:28 a.m., April 15, 2008--The University of Delaware Children's Choir, a choir comprised of treble-voiced singers from grades 2-8 and directed by Linda Wardell, is performing three more concerts this spring. The concerts will take place on and off campus during April and May and will showcase trained singing of quality children's choral pieces. All concerts are free and open to the public.

The first concert, which will be performed at the “K is for Kids” exhibition at the Winterthur Museum and Country Estate, is set for 1 p.m., Saturday, April 19, at Winterthur.

The second concert, titled “How Can I Keep from Singing,” will take place at 7 p.m., Friday, May 16, in the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building.

The final concert, a shorter version of “How Can I Keep from Singing,” is set for 7:30 p.m., Saturday, May 17, in the atrium of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building.

New singer auditions are scheduled for Sunday, May 20, and can be arranged by calling Tamara Smith, music coordinator and director of the UD Community Music School, at (302) 831-1527.
