Talk on Winston Churchill Oct. 13 at Arsht Hall 1:12 p.m., Oct. 4, 2006--Historian Raymond Callahan, UD professor emeritus, will talk on the topic of “Why We Remember Winston Churchill” at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 13, in 105 Arsht Hall on UD's Wilmington campus, 2700 Pennsylvania Ave. The lecture is free and open to the public. Callahan, an expert on Churchill and military history, taught history at UD and helped develop UD's Master of Arts in Liberal Studies Program. He is the author of Churchill: Retreat from Empire. The lecture is sponsored by UD's Academy of Lifelong Learning, a membership organization for adults 50 and older to exchange ideas, take classes, teach and travel in the company of other retirement-age individuals.
