East Asian Studies students present papers

8:09 a.m., May 11, 2007--Four UD East Asian Studies students were selected to present
research papers at the Greater Philadelphia Asian Studies Colloquium, second annual Asian Studies Undergraduate Research Conference, held in April at Ursinus College.

The students included senior Amanda Leonard of Stony Brook, N.Y., who presented “Power Allocation of the Genders in Contemporary Japan;” senior Barnabas Seylor of Walkersville, Md., who presented “Trends in Sino-American Horticultural Perspectives;” senior Melissa Catan of Newark, who presented “Thailand and the ASEAN Plus Three Organization;” and senior Peter Park of Wilmington, who presented “Translating the Dao De Jing: A Doorway to All Mystery.”
