Charles Elson, Edgar S. Woolard Jr. Chair and director of the John L. Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance, was quoted in a March 30 Associated Press story about the California Public Employees' Retirement System, which is seeking greater shareholder power in changing corporate bylaws at Eli Lilly and Co., and in a March 30 Los Angeles Times story on the battle for control of the Tribune Co. Elson also was quoted in a March 25 Atlanta Journal Constitution story on selfless actions by the chief executive officer of Delta Air Lines, who has accepted payouts less than the market norm after leading the company through reorganization, and in a March 24 Chicago Tribune story about a $14.4 million payday for the CEO of Boeing Co.

Deni Galileo, associate professor of biological sciences, was quoted in a March 30 News Journal story about the Delaware Senate's passage of a bill regulating stem cell research.

Willett Kempton, associate professor of marine and earth studies, was quoted in a March 28 Salon story about wind power. Kempton also was quoted in a March 25 Wall Street Journal story on an electric plug-in car being touted by the city of Austin, Texas.

James Corbett, associate professor of marine and earth studies, was quoted in a March 27 Financial Times story on green initiatives being undertaken by major corporations. He discussed shipping.

Thomas H. Epps III, assistant professor of chemical engineering, was featured in a March 26 Chemical and Engineering News story about chemists of color.
