Tsunami seminar slated for Friday
3:51 p.m., March 13, 2006--UD's Disaster Research Center is offering a seminar, “Tsunami--Social and Geographic Vulnerability of the Fishing Communities in the Nagapattinam District, India,” from 10:30 a.m.-noon, Friday, March 17, in 318 Gore Hall.
Featuring guest lecturer Abbiah Subramanian, associate professor of political science at Madras Christian College in Chennai, India, the late-morning seminar will focus on the aftermath of the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami.
