Madison Drive stabbing is under investigation 10:33 a.m., March 13, 2006--Newark Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred during an altercation about 4:15 p.m., Sunday, March 12, on the street in the 100 block of Madison Drive. Police said the 17-year-old male victim was cut on the neck and stabbed in the chest by the assailant, who was described as a 17-20 year old man about 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall and of average build. He had a full beard and was wearing a red T-shirt, black pants and a black headscarf. After the attack, the assailant fled toward the Cherry Hill Manor development across the CSX railroad tracks. The victim sustained a punctured lung and was transported to Christiana Hospital by an Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Co. ambulance with New Castle County paramedics on board.
