SSAC's new districts elect representatives
2:02 p.m., March 6, 2006--The Salaried Staff Advisory Council (SSAC) was redistricted in 2005 to mirror Professional Advisory Council districts whose representatives are elected from units that fall under the same administrative groupings as in UD's organizational chart.
According to Richie Holland, manager of human resources, SSAC felt that representatives coming from similar administrative areas would be more familiar with employees' concerns."
Because of the reorganization of SSAC, elections were held Jan. 23-Feb. 3 for all newly created districts.
Representatives elected from even-numbered districts will serve a three-year term--from Jan. 1, 2006-Dec. 31, 2008--and those elected in odd-numbered districts will serve a two-year term--from Jan. 1, 2006-Dec. 31, 2007.
