Campus blood drive set March 14-15

10:38 a.m., March 10, 2006--While it's great to celebrate the Emerald Isle's most famous saint, you don't need the luck of the Irish to save lives this St. Patrick's Day. You can, however, be someone's hero and help save a life by giving blood from noon-5 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, March 14 and 15, in the Multipurpose Rooms of the Trabant University Center.

No appointment is necessary. Walk in donors are welcome at all times and will be taken as time allows.

Potential donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good general health and have had no tattoos or body piercings in the last 12 months. Donations must be at least 56 days apart, and donors should eat a good meal at least three hours before donating.

The blood drive is sponsored by Delta Gamma, the Food Science Club, Mortar Board and Phi Sigma Pi.

For more information, call (302) 737-8405, ext 796. If you would like to donate, contact Kelly Dinan [kdinan@udel.edu] for March 14 or Kristen Menke [kmenk@udel.edu] for March 15.
