Student assaulted in Russell Hall parking lot

1:30 p.m., March 21, 2006--University Police are investigating the assault of a 20-year-old male UD student that occurred at 4:51 a.m., Sunday, March 19, in the Russell Hall parking lot.

The off-campus student reported that he was walking through the parking lot when he was confronted by three men who taunted and pushed him. A fight ensued, and the student received contusions to his ribs, knee and forehead, as well as lacerations to his earlobes when earrings were pulled from his ears.

The student fled the area and went to the University Police, where he reported the incident. He declined medical treatment.
