Service learning abroad forum set March 8 11:12 a.m., March 3, 2006--UD's Office of Service Learning and the Center for International Studies, with support from the UD Alumni Association, will sponsor a forum for participants in January's Service-Learning Abroad programs at 4 p.m., Wednesday, March 8, in the Ewing Room of the Perkins Student Center. Representatives from the three programs will discuss their experiences working with communities abroad. The three programs are A Video-Documentary of Three Fijian Communities, Giving Back to Costa Rica, and South Africa: A Case Study in the Transformational Impact of a Service-Learning Experience. The sessions on these programs will be led by faculty advisers April Veness, associate professor of geography; Jorge Cubillos, associate professor of foreign languages and literatures; and Norma Gaines-Hanks, assistant professor of individual and family studies, respectively.
