Feb. 24, 2006--Cheryl D. Portlock, 47, clerk /typist in the English department at UD, died on Jan. 21 at Christiana Hospital.

Mrs. Portlock was the mother of Damon and Jasmine Portlock, mother-in-law of Erin Portlock; daughter of the late Barbara and Linwood Portlock; sister of Linwood and Torrence Portlock and Michelle Stevenson, sister-in-law of Pauline and Glenda Portlock and Samuel Stevenson; and grandmother of Ashlynn Irwin and Makayla Portlock. She also is survived by an aunt, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

The funeral was held Saturday, Jan. 28, at Mt. Salem UAME Church, 4th and Bayard Streets, Delaware City.
