April 10, 2006--Mary H. Housen, 87, died March 25, at her home in Chapel Hill, Newark.

Mrs. Housen worked as a senior secretary at the University for 20 years, retiring in 1983.

Born July 2, 1918, in York, Pa., she was married to Henry Harry Housen in 1950. He died in 1991.

Mrs. Housen is survived by her son, Mark; daughter-in-law, Sherry; granddaughters, Kelly and Katy, all of Newark; brother, Carson Haines, of Oakland, Calif.; and sister, Orella Witmer, of Yardville, N.J.

A committal service was held March 31 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear.
