UD women’s soccer falls to George Mason

9:33 a.m., Nov. 1, 2004--Needing a victory to capture the sixth and final Colonial Athletic Association championship tournament berth, the University of Delaware women’s soccer team fell 2-0 to George Mason University on Saturday night.

After a scoreless first half, George Mason tallied twice in the second half for the win.

UD goalkeeper Bonnie Mills made nine saves. Both Kendall Lytwynec and Shelby Lawrence had shots on goal for the Fightin’ Blue Hens.

With the loss, the Fightin’ Blue Hens closed the season 9-6-3 overall and 4-4-1 in the CAA.
