Womens soccer team wins two games 2:23 p.m., Oct. 18, 2004--The University of Delaware womens soccer team won two Colonial Athletic Association home games over the weekend, defeating Virginia Commonwealth University 2-1 on Friday and the University of North Carolina Wilmington 2-1 on Sunday. With the wins, the Fightin Blue Hens improved to 8-4-3 overall and 3-2-1 in the CAA. Against UNC Wilmington, the Hens got goals from junior Jennifer Krepps, who scored on a penalty kick, and junior midfielder Shannon Alger. UD sophomore goalkeeper Bonnie Mills made four saves in the victory. Against Virginia Commonwealth, Alger scored both goals for UD. The first came off a pass from junior midfielder Shelby Lawrence and the second came when she dribbled on net and beat the Rams goalkeeper. Mills had six saves for the Hens. UD has three regular season CAA games remaining. The Hens will host Towson University at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 22, at the Delaware Mini-Stadium, then will travel for games at James Madison University on Oct. 28 and at George Mason University on Oct. 30.
