Faculty recital Wednesday

4:32 p.m., Oct. 5, 2004--UD’s Department of Music presents faculty musicians Jay Hildebrandt, bass trombone, and Julie Nishimura, piano, in recital at 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 6, in the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building.

The program will include outstanding music for the bass trombone in solo and chamber roles. Featured pieces will include a concerto, ballade and character pieces by composers such as Vaclav Nehlybel, Eric Ewazen, Albert Beauchamp and David Fetter.

Chamber music will be performed by Tromboni Tremendi, a professional trombone quartet, which includes Hildebrandt with David Aument, Paul Arbogast and Holly Schaff.

Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and $3 for students. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at the Trabant University Center or Bob Carpenter Center box offices.
