Jazz ensembles in concert Dec. 1

2:39 p.m., Nov. 29, 2004--UD’s Department of Music presents Jazz Ensemble I and Jazz Ensemble II in concert at 8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 1, in the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building.

Directed by Tom Palmer, the program features Pat Metheny's "If I Could," Dennis Diblasio's arrangement of "Theme From Sesame Street," Mark Taylor's "Granada Smoothie" and Gordon Goodwin's "High Maintenance." The two ensembles also will perform arrangements of jazz standards, including "That Old Black Magic" and "Tenderly," featuring student vocalists Stephanie Lehman and Danielle Precourt.

Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and $3 for students. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at the Trabant University Center or Bob Carpenter Center box offices.
