Hazards and disasters talk set Nov. 10 Havidan Rodriguez, director of UDs Disaster Research Center, will talk about the role, research and contributions of the center in terms of understanding of societal preparedness and response to disasters. UDs popular, free Bachs Lunch Series is held from 12:10-12:50 p.m., on select Wednesdays this fall, in Bayard Sharp Hall. Outstanding UD flute students will play Music from Across the Pond on Nov. 17. Featured will be solo flute repertoire by composers from far away. The Rubber Chickens, UDs student improvisation comedy group, will entertain Dec. 1. The group specializes in short-form comedy similar to ABC-TVs Whose Line Is It Anyway and is working with MTVs University cable channel on an improv showcase. Carols for the University on Dec. 8 will feature the Jefferson Pipe Organ, instruments and voices in music for the season and include carol singing by the audience.
