Blue Hen football team is ranked No. 4

12 p.m., Oct. 6, 2004--Seven Atlantic 10 Football Conference teams are ranked in the top 25 in the most recent Sports Network NCAA Division I-AA poll, led by the University of Delaware at No. 4.

New Hampshire, which defeated the Fightin’ Blue Hens in the season opener, is No. 9. Maine, which the Hens defeated in a wild shootout Saturday, is No. 12, Villanova is No. 14, William and Mary is No. 18, James Madison is No. 19 and Northeastern is No. 23.

Atop the poll is Southern Illinois University, followed by Furman, Georgia Southern and UD.

UD is 4-1 and has a bye week before getting back into action at Hofstra at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 16.
