Geib, LaBar named NFHCA all-stars

1:51 p.m., Oct. 28, 2004--Two University of Delaware field hockey players, seniors Leah Geib and Erica LaBar, have been selected to participate in the annual National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I North-South Senior All-Star game to be played Nov. 20 at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C.

The Fightin’ Blue Hens are among seven Colonial Athletic Association players who will compete. They are on the South team along with Kate Baird and Ginny Sutton of the College of William and Mary, Julie Lambi of Towson University and Casey Smith of Virginia Commonwealth University. Sara Gonzalez of Hofstra University will compete for the North team.

LaBar has nine goals and three assists for the Hens, who are ranked No. 18 in the most recent NFHCA poll. Geib has six goals and seven assists.
