UD Orchestra in concert Sunday
11:26 a.m., Oct. 27, 2004--UD’s Department of Music presents the University Symphony Orchestra, directed by Brian Stone and featuring vocalist Nicole Aldrich Clouser, at 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31, in the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building.
The orchestra’s program, "Town & Country," includes Symphony #6 (Pastorale) by Beethoven, Samuel Barber's masterpiece Knoxville: Summer of 1915 and Respighi's tone-poem, The Pines of Rome. Knoxville: Summer of 1915 features Clouser as soprano soloist.
Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and $3 for students. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at the Trabant University Center or the Bob Carpenter Center box offices.
