Haney, Krepps selected CoSIDA All-Academic
Haney, a sophomore defender, and Krepps, a junior midfielder, were selected based a vote of member sports information directors in the district, which includes all NCAA Division I schools in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. To be eligible for recognition, the scholar-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher and must be a starter or key reserve. Haney was named to the first team and Krepps to the second team. By earning first team honors, Haney is eligible for the national CoSIDA Academic All-American ballot, which will be announced later in November. Haney has started 37 of 38 games for the Fightin Blue Hens, and has four goals and one assist. He was named the team most valuable player as a freshman in 2003 and served as a co-captain this season. He is majoring in biological sciences and has a perfect 4.0 grade point average. Krepps has been a regular at midfield and defense for the Hens in 2004, playing in 10 games with two starts. She had one goal and two assists. Krepps started 15 of 17 games as a freshman in 2002 and nine of 13 games in 2003, when she scored two goals.
