76ers offers special package for UD community

12:10 p.m., Oct. 27, 2004--The Philadelphia 76ers professional basketball team has designated four nights during its upcoming season as University of Delaware Appreciation Nights. On those nights, UD students, faculty and staff can buy specially priced tickets for tip-offs against some of the best teams in the National Basketball Association at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia.

UD Appreciation Nights include games against:

Orlando Magic, 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 14;
San Antonio Spurs, 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 18;
Minnesota Timberwolves, 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 8; and
Denver Nuggets, 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 14.

Tickets priced exclusively for the UD community include:

$24 (normally $28), for mezzanine corner seats in rows 1-15 and ends (rows 1-6);
$33 (normally $39), for mezzanine center seats in rows 9-15 and sides;
$47 (normally $54), for mezzanine center rows 1-8; and
$50 (normally $50), lower-level ends.

For and additional $10 per person, get a 76ers value coupon good for a 76ers cap, hot dog, popcorn, soda and Optek binoculars.
