Undergrads exhibit research at national meeting 9:55 a.m., April 15, 2005--Twelve UD students presented their research at the Experimental Biology Meetings, April 2-6, in San Diego. Undergraduate students who participated in the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology's ninth annual Undergraduate Research Poster Competition include seniors Glenn Christman, chemistry and biochemistry; Liang-I Kang, biological sciences; Madaline Gregorits, biological sciences; Agata Bielska, chemistry and biochemistry; Elisabeth Mari, biological sciences; Kimberly Miller, biological sciences; Kristen Reese, biological sciences; Meghan Bills, biological sciences; Erin Kenaley, biological sciences; Mariclair Yandon, agriculture; Amanda Peters, biological sciences; and junior Meghan Cashman, chemistry and biochemistry. Several students received travel support grants from the UD Women's Scholars Program of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a Beckman Scholars award. Accompanying the students were David Usher, associate professor and associate chairperson of biological sciences, Gary Laverty, associate professor of biological sciences, Seung Hong, laboratory coordinator, and Hal White, professor of chemistry and biochemistry.
