May 5, 2005--Zenit Soto, 19, a UD freshman from the Bronx, N.Y., died unexpectedly April 19 at Christiana Hospital.

Ms. Soto, a student the Lerner College of Business and Economics, was active in HOLA.

She was graduated from the Ethel Walker School for Girls in Simsbury, Conn., where she participated in a variety of sports, including rock climbing, hiking and volleyball. She also managed the softball team there.

Between high school and college, she took a year off and volunteered in the pediatric ward and the training department of Bronx Lebanon Hospital.

Ms. Soto's friends said she had a zest for life and that she loved music and dancing.

Her funeral was held April 25 at the R.G. Ortiz Funeral Home, 524 Southern Blvd, Bronx, N.Y.
