Edwin B. Pierce
 

June 23, 2005--Edwin B. Pierce, 85, of Wilmington, died April 28 at home with his family.

Mr. Pierce earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Delaware in 1942 and was an active member of Sigma Nu fraternity.

Mr. Pierce was a self-employed mechanical engineer. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

He was past district governor and member of the Wilmington West Rotary Club.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nancy B. Pierce; his sons, E. Barkley Pierce of Newark, David B. Pierce of Wilmington and J. Gregory Pierce of Atlanta; his daughter, Preddy L. Pierce of Newark; his brother, Robert W. Pierce of Sacramento, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

A funeral service was held May 2 at the Doherty Funeral Home in Pike Creek. Interment was in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
