James Lank Short
 

Oct. 27, 2005--James Lank, Short, 78, of Lewes, died Sept. 24, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.

Mr. Short was born in Lewes, on July 17, 1927. He graduated from Lewes High School, served in the U.S. Navy, graduated from the University of Delaware as a chemical engineer and worked in the Philadelphia, Chicago and northern New Jersey areas. He returned to Delaware, where he retired from the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Maull Short; his daughter, Shellace Ann Williams, and her husband, Todd A. Williams; grandson, Charles A. Williams of Frankford; one sister, Ann Short; one brother, Robert C. Short, and his wife, Carol; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
