Robert H. Goldey
 

Oct. 27, 2005--Robert H. Goldey, 84, of Hilton Head Island, S.C., died Aug. 20 at Hilton Head Regional Medical Center.

A 1943 graduate of the University of Delaware, he was captain of the golf team in 1942. He received a graduate degree in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1944.

After serving as a lieutenant junior grade in the Navy during World War II, he rejoined the Du Pont Co., where he served in various management positions in Wilmington, and Buenos Aires, Argentina, until he retired as a financial analyst in 1986.

Mr. Goldey's first wife, Beatrice Roulet, died in 1966.

He and his wife, Shirley, moved to TidePoint in 1997, and he was a member of the Bear Creek Golf Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Lisette and her husband, Mike Casey, of Manitou Springs, Colo., and Marina and her husband, Randall Attix, of Wilmington; a brother, James M. Goldey of Allentown, Pa.; a sister, Mary Ellen, and her husband the Rev. Kermit Morrison of Hamden, Conn.; and six grandchildren.
