Hotel offers special football weekend services

3:21 p.m., Sept. 30, 2005--The Courtyard Newark-University of Delaware hotel, now offers expanded services to guests who attend home football games at UD.

The hotel is located the Laird Campus, adjacent to Clayton Hall on Pencader Way.

Shuttle bus service will be provided for registered guests so that they arrive two hours before game time and return to the hotel 30 minutes after the game. Passes can be picked up during hotel check in. Free parking at the hotel is available for registered guests.

“Skip the traffic and the parking,” Bill Sullivan, hotel managing director, said. “Stay at the hotel and leave the driving to us.”

The hotel’s restaurant serves buffet before the game, as well as refreshments and dinner afterwards.

“Our excellent chefs have special menu items for every taste,” Sullivan said.

UD paraphernalia, such as hats and shirts, may be purchased in the hotel gift shop.

There is limited availability of guest rooms at the hotel for the remaining home football games. To make a reservation or check on availability, call (302) 737-0900. For more information, directions and reservation links visit [www.udel.edu/hotel].
