June 23, 2005--Joseph M. Brown, 74, died March 19.

He received his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from UD in 1952 and earned a master’s degree in chemical engineering at the University of Wisconsin in 1953.

An Army veteran, he was a chemical engineering for the DuPont Co. for 38 years.

Mr. Brown enjoyed reading, music, gardening and traveling.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dolores; four children, R. Dennis Brown, Susan Ogle, Nancy Graham and Doris Galloway; and two grandsons, Joey Ogle and Daniel Graham.

A funeral service was held March 23 at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Newark, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
