B&E computing lab upgrades

2:33 p.m., Aug. 31, 2004--Students in the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics will reap the benefits of several recent upgrades to their computing lab this fall.

Located in 026 Purnell Hall, the lab offers many new hardware and software features, including 125 Dell Opti-Plex GX-270 computers with 17-inch flat panel monitors and USB ports that offer convenient USB hookups for personal jump drives. A Dell 5300 printer, with a printing speed of more than 40 pages per minute, and an HP 9000DN printer, with a printing speed of more than 50 pages per minute, further enhance the lab’s capabilities.

New carpet, paint, artwork and improved lighting also add to the ambiance. A newly designed help desk area, with space to accommodate laptop users, also has been added.

For a complete list of hardware and software, information on hours of operation and lab assistant positions, visit [www.lerner.udel.edu/lab].
