Writing about science workshops set
10:58 a.m., Sept. 23, 2004--Two workshops on “Writing in the Disciplines: Writing about Science in High School and College” will be presented Friday, Sept. 24, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., in Multipurpose Room A, Trabant University Center, and from 1:30-3 p.m., in 111 Memorial Hall.
Gerald Graff, professor of English and education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and Cathy Birkenstein-Graff, a lecturer at the University of Illinois at Chicago, will present the two workshops. The two coauthored They Say/I Say: The Basic Moves of Argumentative Writing.
