Alpha Lambda Delta wins recruiting award

3:58 p.m., July 26, 2004--The National Council of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society for First Year College Students has given its Silver Award to the Alpha Lambda Delta chapter at UD for recruiting new members.

The chapter finished the 2003-04 term with a 43 percent increase in membership. Last year, UD’s Alpha Lambda Delta chapter received the Bronze Award.

According to the National Council of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, chapter growth and achievement does not occur without exceptional leadership and the recognition of academically talented first year students. Susan E. Groh, assistant professor of chemistry and biochemistry, is the local chapter adviser.
