Poetry reading set Sept. 21

Jeanne Murray Walker
12:03 p.m., Sept. 9, 2004--Jeanne Murray Walker, UD English professor, will read poetry from her sixth and most recent book, A Deed to the Light, at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 21, in 111 Memorial Hall.

Awarded the Reader's Choice Award in spring 2004 by the literary journal, Prairie Schooner, Walker also holds the prestigious Pew Fellowship in the Arts. She gives readings nationally and abroad and has been published in Poetry, The Atlantic Monthly, The Nation, The American Poetry Review and Image.

Walker’s reading is sponsored by the Department of English. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call (302) 831-1974.
