Elizabeth O. Mackenzie
 

Aug. 2, 2004--Elizabeth Olmstead Mackenzie, 40, died at home in Newark on July 29.

She graduated from the University of Delaware in 1986 and worked at the University from then on, most recently as a CITA III in the College of Marine Studies.

She was born in 1964 in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., to Col. Freeman Bruce Olmstead and Gail Burner Olmstead, now of Annapolis, Md., and was raised in Kent, Ohio, Rockville, Md., and Copenhagen, Denmark.

She is survived by her parents; her husband, John Mackenzie; her daughters, Sarah and Katie; her sisters, Karen Busek of Vermillion, N.D., and Karel Page of Selinsgrove, Pa.; and her stepchildren, Sam and Becky Mackenzie.

The family will receive visitors from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 3 at 711 Fiske Lane, Newark.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the Head of Christiana Church, 1100 Church Rd., Newark.
