Linda A. Taylor
 

July 21, 2004--Linda A. Taylor, 64, of Newark, died July 19, at her home surrounded by her family, after a long illness.

In 2001, after more than 20 years at the University, she retired as administrative assistant to the executive vice president.

Before moving to Delaware, Mrs. Taylor was raised in Haddonfield, N.J., and graduated from Elizabethtown College. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and the Jersey shore.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband, Tom, landscape engineer at UD; her three sons, Chris Geiger, Steve Geiger and his wife, Connie, and their two daughters, and Andy Geiger and his wife, Virginia, and their two daughters; her brother, Mike Wagner and his wife, Julie, and his two children; stepdaughter, Laura Smoker and her husband, Jim, and their two sons; and stepson, Brian Taylor and his four children.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, July 23, at the McCrery Memorial Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Talleyville (Route 202, south of Silverside Road).

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 24, at Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church, 500 McKennan's Church Rd., Wilmington. Interment in the adjoining churchyard will be private.
