David W. Smith, associate professor of biological sciences, was featured in the Sept. 27 issue of Sports Illustrated for his work with the Retrosheet project that is attempting to compile, digitize and post the box scores of every game in Major League Baseball history. The web page is at [www.retrosheet.org]. Jason D. Mycoff, assistant professor of political science and international relations, was quoted in a Sept. 24 News Journal story on the so-called NASCAR dads who are expected to play a role in the presidential election.
