Harrington Theatre presents The Foreigner
2:50 p.m., Sept. 24, 2004--The Foreigner, a comedy about a shy British visitor to a fishing lodge in Georgia, will be staged by the Harrington Theatre Arts Company in early October. Full of comedic intrigue, the original 1983 Off-Broadway hit is famous for its clever dialog. It garnered two Obie Awards and two Outer Critics Awards. Written by Larry Shue and directed by junior Scott Courlander, the play is performed entirely by current and former UD students. James Mikijanic, AS '06, is technical/assistant director, and Anne Kenney, AS '06, is stage manager. "The Foreigner is one of themost brilliantly written comedies of the modern era," Courlander said. "Suspenseful and touching and featuring a delightful and eccentric collection of characters, The Foreigner offers us comedy with backbone." Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults. The show will play at the Bacchus Theatre in the Perkins Student Center on:
